HAMILTON – Four different Raiders scored in Colgate's 23-4 loss to No. 11 Loyola on Saturday afternoon at Andy Kerr Stadium.
Colgate with the loss dropped to 2-9 overall and 1-4 in Patriot League play. Loyola improved to 10-2 on the season and remained unbeaten in the League at 5-0.
Colgate saw four different players score goals, as Sarah Marcovici, Kait Henning, Lauren Thompson, and Molly Krestinski found the back of the net. Six different Raiders recorded a point, with Sarah Harding and Elizabeth Joffrey dishing out assists.
Loyola won the opening draw and scored 20 seconds into the contest. Marcovici responded less than a minute later to tie the game at 1-1 before the Greyhounds used a 7-0 run to take a lead they would not relinquish. Henning trimmed the margin to 8-2 before Loyola found the back of the net three more times to lead 11-2 after one term.
Thompson's fifth goal of the season was sandwiched between four goals in each of the next two terms for the Greyhounds, who led 19-3 after three quarters. Krestinski capped Colgate's scoring with her 14th marker of the season less than a minute into the final frame.

"We knew going into Patriot League play we were going to be tested early against historically powerful teams and it has surely been the case. Today, Loyola showed up as advertised all over the field challenging us to play from behind right off the first draw. Their assisting offense was especially impressive. Like every game, there were some bright team and individual moments. Tomorrow is another day to develop. We will learn from this game to help us win other games ahead of us."

- Loyola maintained a 34-17 advantage in shots and led 28-11 in shots on frame.
- Catie Lang finished with five saves in the cage for the Raiders.
