BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Rory Connor tallied four goals, but Colgate fell 15-8 at Lehigh Sunday afternoon.
Connor was the Raiders' offensive leader, while
Aidan Murnane led the defensive efforts, recording seven caused turnovers while scooping up six ground balls.
The game, originally scheduled for Saturday, got suspended due to heavy rain with 2:17 remaining in the first quarter and picked back up Sunday.
The Mountain Hawks scored the first goal 30 seconds in, but the Raiders responded when Connor ripped one in at the 9:45 mark off a dish from
Max Yates to tie it up at 1-1.
Ben Trumble then made it 3-2 seven minutes later.
When play resumed Sunday, both teams found the back of the net one more time in the first quarter.
Adam Salvaggio tied it up at 3-3 before Lehigh retook the lead.
Alex Pistorius netted Colgate's lone goal in the second with 9:21 left to put the scoreboard at 5-4. Lehigh ended the quarter on a 4-0 run to hold a 9-4 advantage at halftime.
In the third, the Mountain Hawks tallied two quick goals to extend their lead to seven at 11-4.
Michael Minicus ended the run when he fired one into the net at the 7:46 mark.
With seven seconds remaining in the third, Connor logged his second goal to make it 12-6. The sophomore then notched a man-up goal just under three minutes into the fourth the pull the Raiders back within five. Lehigh added two more before Connor recorded his fourth of the contest with 2:58 remaining to put the score at 14-7.

Matt LaCombe made 10 saves for the Raiders.
