ALLENTOWN, Pa. – After impending high winds in the Quakertown, Pa region, Colgate women's rowing shifted their Saturday race against Villanova and Lehigh to a scrimmage on the Lehigh River.
With the last-minute switch, the scrimmage did not include a 2k race, instead, Head Coach
Jessica Deitrick's squad raced in three 1500-master pieces in the 1v8 and 2v8 boats and two 1500-master pieces in the V4 and 3v8 boats.

"I would like to thank Lehigh for hosting this event. Even with the change in location, it was a great opportunity for our team to get on the water and compete early in the season with two good teams. Overall I am really pleased with how we executed our race plans today, we took risks and raced aggressively.
"We are anxiously waiting for Lake Moraine to thaw, but in the meantime, we will continue to work hard and find more speed indoors. We are looking forward to getting after it again next Saturday at Cornell!"
