Box Score 1 LEWISBURG, Pa. – Colgate and Bucknell settled for a 0-0 tie in Game 1 after a Bison injury halted the game in the fifth inning. Bucknell forfeited Game 2 as a result of the injury.
Colgate had scored three runs in the top of the sixth after
Taylor Ludwick sent a deep drive down the left field line that appeared to be an inside-the-park home run. A Bucknell player was injured on the play, however, causing a stoppage of play and delay on the field.
After further discussions, the decision was made to halt the game. Reverting back to the previous inning resulted in the 0-0 tie. Game 2 resulted in a forfeit. Per league and NCAA policies, the forfeited win does not change Colgate's win-loss record, but is updated accordingly on the league standings.
Bailey Misken was dominant in the circle for the second consecutive day. She allowed just one hit and struck out three in the no-decision. Misken was at just 55 pitches through five innings and faced two batters over the minimum. On the weekend, the sophomore tossed 12 scoreless innings, allowing three hits with eight strikeouts to just one walk.
Adrienne Nardone finished the day 2-for-2 at the plate to lead the Raiders offensively. She was locked in all weekend, finishing the series 6-for-8 to raise her batting average to a team-best .387.
Mia Guevarra recorded the other hit for the Raiders, her third double of the weekend.
The Raiders (15-13-1, 13-9-1 PL) clinched a Patriot League tournament berth on Saturday and will either be the No. 3 or 4 seed, depending on Sunday's results around the league. Boston University claimed hosting rights for the tournament, which is scheduled to begin on Thursday.
