HAMILTON – Behind strong singles play, the Colgate women's tennis team concluded the regular season with a 5-2 win over Lafayette.
The Raiders took an early 1-0 lead after sweeping all three doubles matches. At No. 1 doubles, sophomores
Rebecca Wolf and
Emily Untermeyer won 6-2. The duo of sophomores
Emme Levenson and
Katerina Atallah won 7-6, and senior
Callie Bartimer and junior
Elizabeth Laub won at No. 3 doubles 6-4.
At singles, Untermeyer extended Colgate's lead as she won 7-5, 6-2. Wolf won her match in straight sets 6-2, 6-4 and Atallah clinched the win at No. 3 singles as she won 7-5, 3-6, 6-2.
Levenson played a competitive match at No. 1 singles as she won 6-3 in the first set but fell in the second set 6-4. She battled back to win the third set 6-4.
With the win, Colgate is now 4-4 on the year with a 2-3 record in the Patriot League.

Sara De Oliveira and all the ladies stepped up huge in doubles and singles. We swept at doubles with Bartimer and Laub coming it at No. 3 serving and volleying to the win.
"In singles, Levenson and Atallah won three set marathons, and Wolf and Untermeyer won in straight sets. We finish the regular season at 4-4 on a two-match winning streak. We now set our sights on the Patriot League Tournament."
