FRISCO, Texas – The Dallas Stars organization has recalled former Raider
Colton Point to the NHL.
Currently playing in the AHL with Dallas' affiliate the Texas Stars, Point has appeared in five AHL games so far this season, posting a 3-2-0 record with a .896 save percentage and 3.41 goals against average. The netminder owns a 5-6-1 record with a .877 save percentage and 3.63 GAA in 13 career AHL appearances over three seasons with Texas.
A native of North Bay, Ontario, Point was selected by Dallas in the fifth round (128
th overall) in the 2016 NHL Draft.
Point spent two years with the Colgate program, a time in which he was named a CCM/AHCA All-America Second Team honoree after posting a program record .944 save percentage that ranked first nationally in the 2017-18 season.
Point was the first sophomore in program history to earn All-America status, and just the fourth Colgate goaltender selected with his 1.74 goals against average. Point tied the program mark with six shutouts in 2017-18 and set the game record for most saves (51) in a 2-0 shutout of Harvard.
Point joins fellow Raider Chris Wagner (Boston) as an active NHL player this season.

After a bye weekend to prepare, the Raiders will compete in the ECAC Tournament. The field kicks off as No. 4 seeded Colgate faces the No. 1 seed in Quinnipiac again in the ECAC Semifinals on Thursday, March 18. Hosted by the top-2 seeds, Colgate will make a return trip to Hamden for the Semifinal matchup.
The winner advances to face the winner of No. 2-seeded Clarkson and the No. 3 seed in St. Lawrence in the ECAC Championship on Saturday, March 20.
