Raiders Drop Game One of ECAC Quarterfinals

Schneider nets lone Colgate goal

HANOVER, N.H.
- Jake Schneider scored the opening goal of the game but the Raiders ultimately fell to Dartmouth 4-1 in game one of the ECAC Quarterfinals on Friday night at Thompson Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Jake Schneider capitalized in the first period, scoring at 7:53 with assists from Jacob Napier and Isaiah Norlin, putting Colgate ahead.

Dartmouth responded, leveling the score at 12:10 with a goal by Ryan Schelling. Throughout the remainder of the period, Reid Dyck made several crucial saves, maintaining the stalemate. The period concluded with the score tied 1-1.

Colgate created opportunities midway through the period, with Antonio Fernandez, Simon Labelle, and Michael Neumeier each testing Dartmouth's goaltender, Emmett Croteau, but were unable to capitalize.

As the period drew to a close, a late tripping penalty against Michael Neumeier led to a power-play goal by Dartmouth's Hank Cleaves, assisted by CJ Foley and Jack Silverberg. This goal put the Big Green ahead 2-1 by the end of the second period.

Dartmouth scored early in the third at 18:35, extending its lead. Despite a power play opportunity following a penalty on the Big Green's Matt Fusco, Colgate's attempts, including shots from Ryan Sullivan and Isaiah Norlin, were saved or blocked, preventing them from narrowing the gap.

Dartmouth added another goal at 13:21, pushing its advantage further. Colgate remained aggressive, creating multiple scoring chances through shots from Antonio Fernandez and Max Nagel, but goaltender Emmett Croteau's saves stymied Colgate's efforts. The period concluded with Colgate unable to find the back of the net, and the Big Green maintained a 4-1 lead at the final horn.
