Men's Hockey Season Concludes at Dartmouth

Raiders fall in ECAC Quarterfinals

HANOVER, N.H. - The Raiders fell 4-1 to Dartmouth in game two of the ECAC Quarterfinals at Thompson Arena on Saturday night.

Simon Labelle scored the lone goal for Colgate assisted by Isaiah Norlin and Tyson Doucette.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Dartmouth broke the deadlock at 15:11 of the first with a power-play goal from Jack Silverberg, marking the only score of the period. Colgate ended the period trailing 1-0.

Dartmouth opened the second period with sustained offensive pressure, but Colgate's defense responded effectively, blocking multiple shots. Dartmouth capitalized with a goal by Nathan Morin at 15:29, extending its lead to 2-0.

Colgate answered back midway through the period when Simon Labelle scored at 11:33, reducing the deficit to 2-1. Despite multiple attempts from both teams, neither could alter the score further. The period ended with Colgate trailing, 2-1.

The third period began with the Big Green extending its lead early through a power-play goal by Hank Cleaves, assisted by Hayden Stavroff and Nikita Nikora, bringing the score to 3-1.

Cam MacDonald scored an empty netter assisted by Brock Cummings, making it 4-1. The game ended with the Raiders falling 4-1.

SEASON NOTES
  • Isaiah Norlin led the Raiders in assists with 20 on the season.
  • Simon Labelle scored 13 goals and added 15 assists for 28 total points, tied for most on the team with Norlin.
  • The Raiders finished the season with a 13-20-4 record and 9-10-3 mark in ECAC play.
  • Antonio Fernandez led the Raiders in blocked shots with 50.
  • Reid Dyck made 29 appearances with 27 starting assignments. Dyck finished with a 10-15-3 record, .897 save percentage, and 3.17 GAA in his first season.
  • Andrew Takacs closed out his career with 11 appearances and 10 starts. Takacs finished 3-5-1 with a .900 save percentage and 3.08 GAA.
  • The Raiders game-high in goals came against St. Lawrence on Feb. 28 as they won 7-3.
  • Dyck made two 41 save performances; against Dartmouth Jan. 24 and Princeton Feb. 20.
