HAMILTON – Fan voting for the Hobey Baker Award is now live, where Colgate men's hockey senior captain
Bobby McMann is a nominee.
VOTE FOR HOBEY
Awarded annually to college hockey's top player, the Hobey Baker's popular fan voting runs now through Sunday, March 8 at midnight. College hockey fans can cast their vote daily.
McMann is one of 79 college hockey players spanning 45 NCAA Division I schools nominated for the award. The nomination pool includes 45 forwards, 18 defensemen, and 16 goals, while the ECAC tops the nation with its 16 nominees.
A senior captain, McMann tops the team with his seven goals and seven assists for 14 points. Consistently leading the Raiders throughout his career, McMann is a two-time award winner of the team's Best Offensive Player Award and three-time ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team honoree.
A native of Wainwright, Alberta, McMann served as an assistant captain in his junior campaign, a season in which he was named to All-ECAC Hockey Third Team accolades. Through his 133 games played, the forward has totaled 86 points by 34 goals and 52 assists, including seven game-winning goals.

HOBEY BAKER AWARD
The award is presented to candidates who exhibit the exceptional character traits of the award's namesake, Hobey Baker. Baker was a World War I fighter pilot who was known for his exceptional play at both hockey and football at Princeton University. Award candidates must demonstrate strength of character both on and off the ice, contribute to the integrity of his team, and display outstanding skills in all phases of the game. Consideration should be given to scholastic achievement and sportsmanship.
Phase two of fan balloting consists of the Top 10 Hobey Baker finalists beginning March 19-29. The 2020 Hobey Baker Award winner will be announced from a field of three Hobey Hat Trick finalists on Friday, April 10 during the NCAA Frozen Four Championship in Detroit, Mich. The award ceremony will be held at Max M. & Marjorie S. Fisher Music Center, broadcast nationally on the NHL Network, and streamed at hobeybaker.com.
