WORCESTER, Mass.—The 4x100 Meter Relay team led the charge for the Colgate Women's Track and Field team Saturday afternoon in the second and final day of the Patriot League Championships at Hart Center Track.
Isa Cunio,
Rachel Schaaf,
Carly Schwartz and
Marina Reilly combined to finish the event in 51.25, which was good enough for eighth and a team point.
Schaaf had a busy day, as she also had a PR and a 17th place finish in the High Jump with her mark of 1.50 meters. She also finished 12th in the Triple Jump with her leap of 11.10 meters, while Reilly earned a top-10 finish in ninth in the event with her 11.41 meter jump.
The relay team of
Sarah Silverman, Schwartz, Reilly and
Reagan Darrah came in ninth in the 4x400 Meter Relay after they crossed the line in 4:02.03.
Darrah also had a PR performance in the 800 Meter Run when her mark of 2:17.18 was 20th overall and set a new collegiate personal record by five seconds.
Silverman and Schwartz both took part in the 400 Meter Dash and claimed PRs as well. Schwartz crossed the line in 1:00.57 for 19th and Silverman was just behind in 20th with her time of 1:01.38.
In the 1500 Meter Run, another pair of PRs were registered for the Raiders.
Skyler Berardi was 15th when she finished in 4:45.03 and
Sophia Manners came in 20th with her time of 5:03.67.
Day 1
The Colgate Women's Track and Field team was led by a pair of great personal bests Friday afternoon in day one of the Patriot League Championships.
The 10000 Meter Run was an eventful one for Colgate, as both of their PRs on the day came in the event.
Vicky Martinez led the pack for the Raiders with her 15th place finish of 39:00.73.
Hannah Gunther finished just behind in 16th with a PR time of 39:19.78, which was 12 seconds better than her previous collegiate best. And
Denise Larson crossed the line in 20th with a PR time of 40:01.71, which was 33 seconds better than her previous best.
Regine Cooper came up with a 13th place finish in the Hammer Throw when her heave reached 42.04 meters.
In the Javelin Throw,
Megan Maloney also claimed 13th place when her toss finished at 30.72 meters.
Amanda Gollaher took home 13th place in the Pole Vault when she soared to 2.65 meters.
In the Long Jump, Reilly claimed 17th with her final mark of 5.26 meters. Schaaf was 19th in the event with her leap of 5.20 meters and
Sarah Sampson took 23rd with her mark of 4.86 meters.
Cunio also claimed 20th in the 100 Meter Dash when she crossed the line in 13.14.

"The team had a really good day two. Our relays ran season bests and we had eight personal bests to finish our weekend. It was also nice to see some of our veterans run season bests and even pull out points. Our 4x100 pulled off 8th place as well."
"We had some unexpected things happen and it made for a great close to our season. I was happy to watch the performances and see all of our athletes step up."
