HAMILTON – Colgate John W. Beyer Head Men's Soccer Coach
Erik Ronning has announced the addition of 12 student-athletes to the three-time defending Patriot League Champion Raiders for the class of 2023.
"I am proud to welcome this fantastic group of scholar-athletes to the Colgate Soccer family," said Ronning. "They will add much to Colgate's academic community, and help the soccer program excel on the field."
"This is a balanced, deep, and talented class that possesses all the qualities necessary to compete at the highest level of college soccer, while succeeding in the classroom," continued Ronning. "Many will be called upon to make immediate contributions, and all will enhance our championship culture."
Below are the 12 student-athletes listed in alphabetical order by last name.
Antonio Ducrot – Midfielder – 6-0 – 150 lbs.
New York, N.Y./The Fieldston School
A talented attacking player from New York, Ducrot comes to Colgate after attending The Fieldston School in the Bronx. Ducrot has competed in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy for a number of clubs since 2015, including BW Gottschee and Met Oval, before joining Cedar Stars-Monmouth, where he is currently playing. Ducrot has been a standout Forward for Cedar Stars, tallying 11 goals in the 2017-2018 Academy season.
Personal: Son of Darnell Martin and Guiseppe Ducrot.
Max Edelstein – Forward – 6-1 – 175 lbs.
San Francisco, Calif./University High
Edelstein racked up 56 goals and 25 assists during his four-year career at University High. A San Francisco First Team All-City honoree, Edelstein was named SFIAC Athlete of the Year his senior season after tallying 30 goals and 15 assists as a team captain. He helped lead his team to a BCL League title and state semifinals appearance in 2018.

Corey Finchum – Midfielder – 6-0 – 170 lbs.
Beaverdam, Virginia/Patrick Henry High
A midfielder from Beaverdam, Va., Finchum started all four years of his high school career at Patrick Henry High. Finchum posted the team's best offensive production on his way to collecting All-Conference accolades. He also earned back-to-back ODP State Team selections in 2015 and 2016. The past two years, Finchum has been a standout midfielder for Richmond United in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy.
Personal: Son of Allyson and Michael Finchum.
Drew Fischer – Forward – 6-3 – 170 lbs.
New Albany, Ohio/New Albany
Fischer was an Ohio All-State selection at New Albany after scoring 15 goals and adding 20 assists in his senior season. He received First Team All-District recognition as a two-year varsity captain. Fischer also played club soccer for the Ohio Premier, where he helped lead his age-group teams to three Ohio state championships in 2011, 2012, and 2018. Fisher captains his Ohio Premier team, who will be competing in the USYSA National Championships this summer.

Bobby Foose – Midfielder – 6-1 – 170 lbs.
Bethesda, Md./Winston Churchill

A midfielder out of Bethesda, Md., Foose attended Winston Churchill High School, where he was a member of National Honor Society and the recipient of the Kenyon College Book Award. Foose plays club soccer for Bethesda Soccer Club of the U.S Soccer Developmental Academy and helped his team to a national quarterfinal appearance in 2017. Foose over his last two years with Bethesda tallied four goals and 19 assists.
Personal: Son of Laura and Bob Foose.
Eli Gould – Midfielder – 5-10 – 150 lbs.
Simsbury, Conn./Northfield Mount Hermon
A midfielder for Northfield Mount Hermon, Gould was named the team captain his senior season. Gould was a two-tie national semifinalist with FSA FC club soccer and helped lead his teams to a pair of state cup championships with FSA FC. Eli currently competes with Black Rock FC.
Personal: Son of Victoria and Jedd Gould.
Will Guckien – Midfielder – 5-11 – 155 lbs.
Zionsville, Ind./Zionsville Community High

A product of Zionsville Community High, Guckien plays his club soccer with the Indiana Fire of the U.S. Soccer Developmental Academy. With the Fire he produced 10 goals and made 71 appearances, including 47 starts, as a standout midfielder. Guckien has been a part of USSDA since the inaugural U-14 year.
Personal: Son of Noelle and Brice Guckien.
Mark Kieffer – Forward – 5-9 – 160 lbs.
Bedford, N.H./Bedford

Kieffer comes to Colgate after starting all four years at the Northwood School and Bedford High School, where he was a forward. As a freshman, Kieffer netted 11 goals before scoring 10 during his sophomore season and adding 13 goals as a junior. Kieffer currently plays with Black Rock FC.
Personal: Son of Jen and Ken Kieffer.
John Muckstadt – Defender – 6-5 – 190 lbs.
Dover, Mass./Dover-Sherborn

Muckstadt is a three-time Tri-Valley League All-Star (2016-18), highlighted with MVP honors as the team captain in 2018. He also earned Eastern Massachusetts All-Star recognition in 2017 and 2018 after wrapping up his high school career with 20 goals and 10 assists. Muckstadt, also a member of National Honor Society, helped lead his varsity basketball team to a Division III state title in 2018-19.
Personal: Son of Sara and John Muckstadt.
Chris Noriega – Defender – 6-0 – 165 lbs.
Somersville, N.J./Delbarton School

Noriega hauled in All-American honors his senior year after leading Delbarton to the North Jersey, Non-Public Class A title and Morris County Tournament championship. Noriega keyed Delbarton's defense, leading the team with 14 assists and posting three goals as a dual threat outside back. He also brought in First Team All-State and All-County recognition.
Personal: Son of Maricela and Carlos Noriega.
Holt Robison – Defender – 6-3 – 195 lbs.
Wilmington, N.C./Cape Fear Academy

Robison was a two-time All-State defender at Cape Fear Academy, where he helped lead his team to a state championship in 2018. He was a two-time MVP and garnered Coastal Preps Player of the Year honors in 2018 as a key member of the team's back line. Robison, a member of National Honor Society and Beta Club, also was a four-year captain and state champion for his club team in 2018.
Personal: Son of Tracy and George Robison.
Nicholas Steed – Midfielder – 5-11 – 160 lbs.
Elmira, N.Y./Notre Dame

A versatile midfielder, Steed comes to Colgate after playing at Berkshire School in 2019. Before Berkshire, Steed played four years of varsity soccer at Notre Dame High School, where he racked up 31 goals, 12 assists, and 74 points. Currently, Steed competes with Black Rock FC.
