WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Raiders closed out the 2025 season with a 2-0 loss to Army at Malek Stadium on Tuesday night.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The first half began with Colgate University's defense holding firm, as Eric Widrick made a crucial save in the fourth minute to deny the Army West Point soccer team an early lead. Cason Stafford led the offensive efforts for Colgate, taking multiple shots on goal, though none found the back of the net. The half closed with both teams unable to capitalize on their opportunities, keeping the score level at 0-0.
Jack Kryger scored in the 48th minute, assisted by Jack De Simone and Riley Cullum, to give the home side a 1-0 advantage. Shortly after, in the 53rd minute, De Simone added a second goal for the home team, assisted by Ronald Zhai, pushing the score to 2-0.
Colgate responded with increased offensive pressure, as Alex St. John, Ryan Schachter, and Otto Bourne each attempted shots, but were unable to break through the Black Knights' defense. Despite multiple efforts, including a late surge with several corner kicks, Colgate could not convert their chances into goals. The match concluded with the Black Knights maintaining their 2-0 lead.
