FULL RESULTS
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.—The Colgate Women's Track and Field team ended its run at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invite with another strong day Saturday at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium.
Rachel Schaaf had the best finish of the day for the Raiders when she took on the Triple Jump. She registered a seventh place finish when she had a leap of 10.95m.
Regine Cooper was also in action for a second consecutive day and put forth another big performance. She claimed 14th place in the Shot Put when her toss traveled 11.79 meters.
Reagan Darrah cruised along in the 800 Meter Dash to a 24th place finish with her time of 2:27.92.
In the 400 Meter Dash,
Carly Schwartz competed and claimed 38th place when she crossed the line in 1:04.63.
Colgate's relay team in the 4x100 Meters also had a high finish when they claimed 18th with a time of 51.81.
Day 2
Sophia Manners had perhaps the highlight of the day when she won the One Mile Run in the open division with a blistering time of 5:32.15. The mark set a new collegiate benchmark for the freshman by 12 seconds.
The PRs kept coming in the Hammer Throw, where the Raiders looked very strong. Cooper had the top finish for the team with an eighth place mark of 44.54m, which set a new personal record by over two meters.
Maya LaRosiliere came in 36th with a toss of 31.10, which was also a new collegiate best. Newcomer
Olivia Krogermeier had a throw of 26.94m for 42nd place in her first competition.
Colgate's final PR came from
Megan Maloney with a strong performance in the Javelin Throw. She was 12th in the event after she unleashed a toss of 32.55m.
The Raiders had three competitors in the Long Jump and had quality finishes from all three. Schaaf paced the team with an eighth place finish of 5.13m, while
Marina Reilly was just behind at 5.10m and a 10th place finish.
Kayla Park also claimed a top-20 mark with her 19th place leap of 4.87m.
Skyler Berardi had a strong performance in the 5000 Meters, as she came in 17th when she finished in 19:17.21.
In the 100 Meter Dash qualifying,
Isa Cunio had a 38th place finish when she crossed the line in 13.10 and Park also competed, but did not finish.
Day 1
Vicky Martinez and
Hannah Gunther opened up the Alan Connie Shamrock Invite Thursday with strong performances.
Both competed in the 10000 Meter race with Martinez coming away with a top-3 finish. She crossed the line in 38:58.58 for a 3rd place finish, which nearly was a new collegiate best. Gunther was not far behind at seventh place with a time of 39:31.38.
