PHILADELPHIA – Colgate defensive tackle
Nick Wheeler is the Week 7 winner of the Uplifting Athletes Rare Performance of the Week.
The senior from St. Louis registered two sacks against Bucknell to break a 38-year-old Colgate career sack record. Wheeler bumped his sack total to six for the season and 29½ for his career, passing Kelly Robinson, who tallied 28½ from
1979-81.
The Rare Performance of the Week is awarded to a player from any team who is member of the Uplifting Athletes Chapter Network. That player is recognized for a performance on the field that qualifies as "rare."
Uplifting Athletes' Chapter Network is comprised of 20-something FBS and FCS schools serving the Rare Disease Community and led by college football student-athletes.
