ROME, N.Y. – Colgate Women's Rowing opened its fall season with three crews hitting the water for the Bridge to Bridge Regatta.
 
The Raiders finished second in the Varsity 8+ and second and fourth in the Varsity 4+. All races took place on the Eric Canal.
 
"Overall today was a good start to our 2018-2019 campaign," Colgate head coach Brittany Adell said. "We always appreciate the opportunity to line up and race our local competitors.
 
"We are a young team this fall but we have a few freshmen who have stepped up in a big way. I'm excited to see the team continue to get faster in the coming weeks as we prepare to race at the Head of the Charles."
 
Colgate posted a time of 25 minutes and 19.2 seconds over 6,600 meters in the Varsity 8+. In the Varsity 4+, Colgate's A boat covered the 4,000 meters in 16:10.5 and the B boat crossed in 16.28.3.

Varsity 8+
Cox: Logan Sundberg.
Crew: 8 Rose Corcoran, 7 Alex Hopkins, 6 Allie Cunningham, 5 Abby Fleming, 4 Jill Burke, 3 Michelle Tebolt, 2 Katherine Larsen, 1 Lucy Bonin.
Finish & Time: Finished second with time of 25:19.2. Hamilton A boat prevailed in 24:27.0, with Hamilton B third in 26:54.8.
 
Varsity 4+
Boat A
Cox: Isabel Gephart.
Crew: 4 Rose Corcoran, 3 Alex Hopkins, 2 Allie Cunningham, 1 Abby Fleming.
Boat B
Cox: Anna Duerr.
Crew: 4 Jill Burke, 3 Michelle Tebolt, 2 Rikki Borkowski, 1 Mikayla Fassler.
Finish & Time: Colgate A finished second with a time of 16:10.5, with Colgate B fourth in 16:28.3. Hamilton A finished first in 15:57.2.
