Filer Breaks Pole Vault Program Record at Hamilton Midweek

Women's Track and Field Has Four First-Place Finishes in Penultimate Meet

CLINTON, N.Y. –
Senior jumper Hunter Filer (Victor, New 33412York) broke the pole vault program record with a vault of 3.20 meters to lead the Colgate women's track and field team at the Hamilton Midweek Invitational Tuesday afternoon.
 
With Filer's program record, the Raiders have now seen three program records fall in the past four meets. She also cleared three meters in an outdoor meet for the first time in her career.
 
Breanne Wilson-Bennett (Markham, Ontario) recorded her first career first-place finish in the javelin throw with an impressive throw of 37.67 meters.
 
Colgate's Allison Kinne (Great Barrington, Massachusetts) recorded her first career first-place finish in the 400-Meter Dash while Meghan DioGuardi (Hornell, New York) also had a first-place finish in the 1,500-Meter Race.

-Filer broke the program record in the pole vault with her height of 3.20 meters
-Kinne recorded a first-place finish in the 400-Meter Dash with her outdoor personal record of 1:04.17 while Skyler Berardi (Glen Mills, Pennsylvania) was fourth with a time of 1:06.04 in her first career 400-Meter Dash
-DioGuardi paced the Raiders in the 1,500-Meter Race with her top time of 5:04.53
-Wilson-Bennett picked up her first career victory as she was first with a javelin throw of 37.67 meters
-Marie Nevils (Sudbury, Massachusetts) was second in 5:17.06 with Emma Joseph (Merrick, New York) finishing third in 5:24.78 and Emily Peck (Cheshire, Connecticut) rounded out the top-five finishes in fourth in 5:26.19
-Tina Bowers (West Reading, Pennsylvania) was second in the 800-Meter Race with her time of 2:16.99, besting her previous time by 25.30 seconds while Vicky Martinez, New York) was fourth with her time of 2:21.55 in her first 800-Meter Race
-Lexi Walsh (St. Louis, Missouri) was second in the 3,00334140-Meter Race with her time of 11:06.72
-Maggie Cusick (San Jose, California) picked up a second-place finish with her long jump of 4.85 meters while Sarah Sampson (Oriskany, New York) was third with her long jump of 4.75 meters
