ITHACA, N.Y.—The Colgate Women's Track and Field had good success to begin the year with a small group of competitors at the Greg Page Relays.
Marina Reilly was the top performer on the day for the Raiders, as she put in a pair of top-5 individual performances. She had a mark of 5.18m in the long jump for 5th place, and went 11.43m in the Triple Jump for 3rd overall.
Freshman
Rachel Schaaf had an impressive start to her career in the jumps. She was just behind Reilly in the Long Jump with a mark of 5.14m. After that, she finished 5th in the Triple Jump with a leap of 11.34m.
Colgate's top relay team on the day came from the Distance Medley competitors.
Marie Nevils,
Zoe Zeltner,
Reagan Darrah and
Sarah Silverman combined for 3rd place with a time of 13:42.99.
Elsewhere for the Raiders,
Sarah Sampson put up a personal best with a mark of 5.11m in the Long Jump.
Emily Peck also had a personal best in the 5000 Meter Run with a time of 20:32.17.
THE RUNDOWN
- Isa Cunio had a time of 8.39 in the 60 Meter Dash.
- Silverman put in a time of 1:24.15 in the 500 Meter Dash.
- Cunio, Reilly, Schaaf and Kayla Park competed in the 4x400 Meter Relay.
- Kira Palmer took part in the Pole Vault.
- Regine Cooper competed in the finals in the Shot Put and had a mark of 11.98m. She also had a toss of 13.99m in the Weight Throw.

"The women did very well," said Williams. "We had a few personal bests from our veterans who set the tone early in the day and our youth got to show what they were made of."

A few members of the team will take part in the Pioneer Winter Classic Dec. 8 at Utica College. After that, the Raiders break for finals and the holidays before they return to action Jan. 12 at the Great Dane Invitational in Staten Island, N.Y.
