Ethan Kutler recorded his second goal of the season, but it wasn't enough to propel the Raiders past Niagara here on Sunday, as they dropped a 2-1 decision in overtime.
Kutler's goal helped the Raiders knot the score in the 64th minute after the Purple Eagles had taken the 1-0 edge at the 34:27 mark. Neither team was able to notch the go-ahead goal in the remaining minutes of regulation forcing the game into extra time. With less than five minutes to play in overtime Niagara's Callum Willmott tapped one past Colgate goalie
Ricky Brown for the game-winner. That goal marked Willmott's second of the game as he also scored the Purple Eagles' opening goal off a chipped shot from 40-yards out.
Colgate maintained most of the possession throughout the game and dominated in the shots category, 17-8. The Raiders also held the advantage on corner kicks 12-2, posting eight in the second half alone.
Brown earned four saves for Colgate, while Niagara's Steve Casey tallied three.
The Raiders are back on the pitch Friday when they head to Albany for a game with the Great Danes at 7:30 p.m.

After a couple touches back and force Schilling sent the ball into the center of the box. Stroud saw an opening and struck the ball toward net, but it ultimately sailed just high over the crossbar.
