LAKE PLACID, N.Y. — The Colgate-based Power-Tek lacrosse squad won its third straight Men's Open championship Sunday at the 25th Annual Lake Placid Summit Classic.
It was the fifth championship-game appearance in six years for Power-Tek, which this year featured 12 current or former Colgate Raiders on the team.
Matt Lalli '08 is the unit's founder and he was joined by Colgate alums E.J. Etamian '08, Chris Mulholland '08, Colin Hulme '07, Kevin Collelluori '09, Jim Carroll '11, Dave Tucciarone '11,
Kevin Boyle '14 and
Jimmy Ryan '14. Current Raiders were
Matt Clarkson '15,
Ryan Walsh '15 and
Brandon Burke '17.
Carroll, who was named MVP, has never lost a game in the Lake Placid event since joining Power-Tek in 2012.

The Creaky Gates finished eighth in the 16-team field for ages 38 years and up.In addition, the Creaky Gates participated in the Masters III Division (ages 38 and up) and finished eighth out of 16 teams. The Creakier Gates placed seventh in the Grand Masters I Division (ages 45 and up).
Former Raiders on the roster for the Creaky Gates were Andrew Halliday '91, Mike Bazany '86, Tom Accordino '96, Rich Mok '96, Bruce Wanamaker '89, Seth Basham '97, Tom Flynn '90, Cooper Morrow '95 and Chet Speed '87.
