WEST POINT, N.Y. – Mike Reidy scored the game winning goal in Colgate's 1-0 win over Army Saturday night.

The Raiders (4-5-5) were led by Reidy who scored two minutes into overtime. Liam Stapleton made two saves in the match.

"We battled and persevered for 90 plus minutes and got a great result against a very good Army team," head coach Erik Ronning said. "We did not always play great soccer, but everyone did their job and gave a consistent effort. Road wins in this league are hard to come by, and I could not be happier for this group."

Army (3-8-1) was led by Kyle Golonski who notched four shots. Winston Boldt had four saves.

In a scoreless first half, the Black Knights had the edge on shots, notching nine to Colgate's seven. However the Raiders had the first scoring chance of the game off a shot by Mike Garzi. Army's goalie Boldt was able to come up with the save.

Just three minutes later Shane Conlin earned his own scoring opportunity but the ball sailed wide. Mid-way through the half the Raiders stayed on the attack after shots from Nick Arpey and Reidy. They couldn't manage to put one away though after Boldt came up with the save on Arpey's shot and Reidy's shot went wide.

Almost ten minutes went by before a shot was recorded in the second half. Conlin's shot went wide but gave the Raiders another scoring chance. In the 63rd minute, Tanner Schilling looked to put Colgate on the board with a shot on goal. Unfortunately Boldt came up with the save.

At the end of regulation the game remained scoreless, sending Colgate into their sixth overtime game this season. Just two minutes into the first OT, Reidy grabbed his third game-winning goal of the season off a rebound from 14 yards out. He was on the left side of the field and placed the ball in the right side of the net.

Colgate stays unbeaten in the Patriot League with a record of 2-0-2. They will be back in action Tuesday as they travel to College Park to face #1 Maryland at 7:30 p.m.
