The Colgate University men's basketball team will look to snap its five-game losing skid and win in Lewisburg for the first time since the 2002-03 season when it visits Bucknell on Wednesday, Jan. 11. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. and will be streamed live on Patriot League All-Access.
The Raiders will play their Patriot League home opener on Saturday, Jan. 14 against Lehigh. The game is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. at Cotterell Court and will be streamed live on Patriot League All-Access. Saturday will also be a "Clothes Drive" where fans who bring an article of clothing to donate from another college, high school or professional sports team will get free admission to the game.

THE SERIES WITH BUCKNELL
This will be the 97th meeting between Colgate and Bucknell with the Bison leading the all-time series 56-40. Bucknell swept the season series last year, including a 76-49 win at Sojka Pavilion. Colgate's last win came during the 2008-09 season 68-57 at Cotterell Court.
THE SERIES WITH LEHIGH
This will be the 77th meeting between Colgate and Lehigh with the Raiders leading the all-time series 47-29. Colgate swept the season series last year, including an 80-79 win in Hamilton.

Nick Pascale and
Mike Venezia combined for 21 points and 13 rebounds but it wasn't enough as the Colgate men's basketball team opened Patriot League play with a 82-54 loss to American at Bender Arena. The loss was the fifth-straight for the Raiders.
Pascale led the Raiders with 11 points, seven rebounds and one blocked shot, while Venezia pitched in 10 points, six rebounds and four assists. Junior
Mitch Rolls scored eight points with two rebounds and one steal in the loss.
American shot 53.4 percent from the floor, including 45 percent from three-point range, while Colgate shot 35.3 percent overall and 21.4 percent from downtown. The Eagles also won the battle on the boards 36-29 and forced 10 Raiders turnovers that resulted in 14 points.
SCOUTING BUCKNELL (11-6, 1-0)
Mike Muscala recorded 19 points, seven rebounds and four blocks to help Bucknell get off to a good start in Patriot League play with a 75-59 road win over Army on Saturday at Christl Arena. Cameron Ayers added 14 points and four assists, and the Bison received a huge lift from its bench in improving to 11-6 overall.
The Bison shot 60 percent in the first half and led by as many as 19 early on before taking a 15-point halftime lead.
Bucknell got 25 points and 14 rebounds from its bench, led by nine points from Bryson Johnson and eight points and seven rebounds from Brian Fitzpatrick. Ryan Hill, in his third game as the starting point guard, finished with eight points, three assists and two steals. Joe Willman added eight points and 11 rebounds.
SCOUTING LEHIGH (12-5, 0-1)
The Mountain Hawks were the hottest team entering Patriot League action, but were cooled off by Holy Cross in the League opener in an 84-78 loss at the Hart Center.
Lehigh fell behind by as many as 19 points in the first half and trailed by 14 at the break as Holy Cross made 60 percent of its first-half shots. The Mountain Hawks chipped away in the second half to get within 76-71 with 1:20 left in the game, but could not get any closer.
Lehigh was led by junior C.J. McCollum with 27 points, while Holden Greiner added 14 points and Gabe Knutson pitched in 12 points and eight rebounds for the Mountain Hawks. Lehigh was under 40 percent from the field at 30-of-77 and made just 6-of-25 three-pointers. The Mountain Hawks had their three-game win streak snapped, and have dropped 15 of their last 16 games at Holy Cross.

Colgate senior
Nick Pascale is closing in on becoming just the fifth Raider in school history to score 500 or more points, grab 500 or more rebounds and block 100 or more shots in a career. Pascale currently has 505 points, 491 rebounds and 96 blocked shots.
ROLLS SHARING THE ROCK

Mitch Rolls recently entered the top-10 all-time at Colgate with 240 assists. Rolls has distributed 34 helpers this season and is averaging 2.3 per game which ranks 13th in the Patriot League. Rolls is only three assists behind Jimmy Maloney '96 (243) for ninth and six behind Dave Hargett '79 (246) for eighth all-time. Hassan Brown '94 holds the school record with 484 assists.
1,000 POINTS AND COUNTING

Yaw Gyawu became the 28th player in school history to join the 1,000-point club. Gyawu currently has 1,171 points which ranks 20th, only two points from passing Jon Simon '07 (1,172) for 19th overall.
VENEZIA KEEPS RAINING THREES

Mike Venezia has made a total of 170 three-pointers in his career which is tied for sixth all-time at Colgate with Alvin Reed '06. Former teammate Kyle Roemer '10 holds the school record (267), while director of basketball operations
Mark Linebaugh '04 ranks fifth with 173. Venezia is also 112 points (888) away from becoming the 29th Raider to join the 1,000-point club.
