THE SERIES
This will be the 10th meeting between Colgate and Towson, with the Raiders leading the all-time series 9-0. Colgate posted a 27-17 win in Hamilton during the 2007 season, and won the last game played at Towson 9-7 in 2002.

THE COACHES
Colgate head coach
Dick Biddle, who has the most wins in school history, is in his 16th season at the helm of the Raiders. His overall record is 121-57, and 9-0 against Towson. The Tigers head coach Rob Ambrose is in his third season with his alma mater and has compiled an overall mark of 5-19.
TOWSON NOTEBOOK
The Tigers (2-0, 1-0), will try to claim their third-straight victory of the season, after opening with back-to-back wins over Morgan State and Villanova. Towson is led by sophomore quarterback Grant Enders, who has completed 34-of-45 passes for 390 yards with two interceptions and four touchdown passes. Enders, who was named as the CAA Offensive Player of the Week in early September, leads the CAA with a 168.8 passer rating. He also ranks seventh in the nation in passer rating.
Although the Tigers lead the CAA in rushing, no Tiger has run for more than 109 yards this season. While the Tigers are averaging 243.5 rushing yards per game, Enders leads the team with 109 rushing yards on 13 carries. He has scored one touchdown. Sophomore Sterlin Phifer, a transfer from Boston College, has a team-leading 20 carries for 100 yards and he has also scored a touchdown. Junior Tremayne Dameron, a two-year starter at tailback, has rushed for 94 yards on 13 carries, a 7.2 average.
Senior linebacker Chris Patterson is tied for the team lead with 12 tackles. He also has one quarterback sack and a forced fumble. Senior safety Jordan Dangerfield has also made 12 tackles in the first two games. He has also forced a fumble and recovered a fumble. He also intercepted a pass in the season opener against Morgan State.
The Tigers, who have allowed only one touchdown this year, are surrendering 6.5 points per game. Their 6.5 scoring average is fourth in NCAA FCS. The Tigers also lead the CAA by allowing 145.5 passing yards per game as well as 260.0 total yards per game.
FRIEL EARNS CFPA HONORABLE MENTION
Junior linebacker
Patrick Friel has been recognized by CollegeFootballPerformance.com for his performance in against Holy Cross. Friel earned College Football Performance Awards (CFPA) Honorable Mention after recording a game-high 16 tackles against the Crusaders. Friel also recorded three tackles for a loss and forced one fumble. The 16 tackles are the most recorded by a Raider since Mike Gallihugh recorded 17 against Massachusetts in 2007.
EACHUS, McCARNEY RECEIVE CFPA HONORS

Nate Eachus and sophomore quarterback
Gavin McCarney have been recognized by CollegeFootballPerformance.com for their achievements against Albany.
Both Eachus and McCarney earned College Football Performance Awards (CFPA) Honorable Mention for their respected positions. Eachus ran for a game-high 165 yards and scored the game winning touchdown in overtime, while McCarney collected 324 yards of total offense and four scores in his first collegiate start. McCarney finished the game completing 17-of-24 passes to six different receivers for 210 yards, while carrying the ball 21 times for 114 yards.
CAREER RUSHING CHART
All-American running back
Nate Eachus, is climbing up the Colgate record books. He currently has 3,983 rushing yards and 49 touchdowns, both rank fourth overall. Eachus needs 1,017 yards to become just the third Raider to amass 5,000 yards in a career, while he needs 1,638 yards to break the all-time rushing record of 5,621 set by former teammate Jordan Scott '07. Scott also holds the all-time record in rushing touchdowns with 57.

Vittorio Ottanelli was named to the second-team. As a team the Raiders were ranked No. 23 in the magazine's Preseason Top 25.
600 AND COUNTING
Last season the Colgate football team became just the 15th program in FCS history to reach 600 wins after topping Cornell 44-3 on Oct. 16. Colgate now has an all-time record of 604-449-50. The Raiders are also the ninth winningest program in the FCS over the last decade. Since 2000, Colgate has posted a recorded 89-39 and won four Patriot League titles.

THE BIDDLE ERA
Colgate head coach
Dick Biddle is in his 16th season with the Raiders and has an overall mark of 121-57. He has achieved the best winning percentage (.686) of any Colgate coach with seven or more years at the helm of the Raiders. Biddle is also the first Colgate coach to ever record nine straight seasons with seven or more victories. He has been named Patriot League Coach of the Year four times while guiding the Raiders to six Patriot League titles and six appearances in the FCS (formally I-AA) playoffs.
In 2003, Biddle was named the American Football Coaches Association Division I-AA National Coach of the Year after leading the Raiders to a 15-1 record, and to the national championship game of the NCAA Division I-AA playoffs.
