HAMILTON, N.Y. (5/14/11)
– Lehigh's Rebecca Bliss was named the Patriot League Tournament MVP after recording her second shutout of the tournament on Saturday against Colgate. The Mountain Hawks claimed their 11th Patriot League crown with a 14-0 win over the Raiders at Eaton Street Field, to earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Colgate (27-21, 16-3) finished its season as the 2011 Patriot League regular season champion and reached the championship game of the tournament for the second-straight season. The Raiders also won 27 games for the second time in as many years and hosted the PL Tournamnet for the first time in school history.

Colgate gave up two runs in the top of the first, before allowing six in the second to fall behind 8-0. The Raiders then held the Mountain Hawks scoreless in the third inning before, Lehigh added another run in the top of the fourth to make it 9-0. The Raiders had a chance to score in the bottom half of the inning after a pair of singles from Tera Vaughn and Natalie Siedhof, but both runners were stranded after Bliss struck out Emmie Dolfi looking.

Lehigh (33-21, 14-5) added five runs in the top of the fifth off a pair of home runs to make the final score 14-0. Lehigh catcher Liz Lucas finished the day 3-for-3 with three homers and seven RBI, while Julie Fernandez went 2-for-3 with three RBI.

For the Raiders Alana Dyson finished 2-for-3 on the day, while Vaughn, Siedhof and Jennifer Martin each recorded one hit apiece. Dyson along with Nicole Siedhof and Stephanie Hartquist were named to the all-tournament team.
