HAMILTON, N.Y. (4/16/11)
– The Colgate softball team hit three home runs on Saturday, but it wasn't enough as the Raiders dropped the first game of the weekend series to Lehigh 13-6. The teams were scheduled to play a double-header but the second game was cancelled due to inclement weather conditions.

Colgate (17-15, 8-1) battled back from a three-run deficit in fifth inning off a pair of home runs to tie the score 4-4. Lehigh answered back in the sixth inning with three more runs to take a 7-4 lead. The Raiders then added two in the bottom of the sixth to make the score 7-6 heading into the final inning. But the Mountain Hawks took advantage of two Colgate errors and hit two home runs in the seventh to take the first game of the weekend series and tie the Raiders for first place in the Patriot League.

Emmie Dolfi led of the fifth inning with her third homer of the season and then was followed by a single from Natalie Siedhof and a two-run homer from Jennifer Martin to tie the game 4-4. The home run by Martin was the first of her career.

Lehigh (22-15, 8-1) scored three runs in the top half of the sixth inning off a sacrifice fly by Alex Cueva and a triple by Julie Fernandez to reclaim its three run lead 7-4. In the bottom half of the inning the Raiders scored two runs of Nicole Siedhof 's ninth homer of the season and an RBI double by Natalie Siedhof to make it a 7-6 game.

Rachel LeCoq pitched 6.2 innings in the loss giving up 11 hits and seven earned runs while striking out eight. Rebecca Bliss pitched seven innings for Lehigh giving up 10 hits and six earned runs for the win.
