The Colgate University men's basketball team will stay instate with a trip over to Albany on Wednesday, Dec. 7. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. at SEFCU Arena and will be televised live on Time Warner Cable Sports. In Hamilton the game will be on TWCS2 channel 1026.

THE SERIES WITH ALBANY
This will be the 17th meeting between Colgate and Albany with the Raiders leading the all-time series 13-3. Albany won last season 63-61 in Hamilton, while Colgate's last win in the series came during the 2003-04 season. The Raiders are 8-1 all-time at Albany.
LAST TIME OUT
The Colgate men's basketball team claimed its second win at home and third overall as it topped Eastern Michigan 74-70 Thursday night at Cotterell Court. The Raiders shot 80 percent from the free throw line, including nine in the closing minutes to remain perfect at home this season.
Senior
Mike Venezia led the Raiders with a team-high 19 points, while
Pat Moore recorded his fifth-straight game in double digits with 14.
John Brandenburg matched his career-high with 11 points, while
Nick Pascale pitched in nine. Pascale also recorded five rebounds, two blocks and two assists in the win.
SCOUTING ALBANY (4-4)
The Great Danes lost the battle for the Albany Cup on Monday against local rival Siena 64-60 at the Times Union Center. Albany held a 31-12 lead with just over five minutes remaining in the first half before the Saints cut the deficit to 37-29 at halftime.
Mike Black led all Great Danes with 18 points, including four long balls. Black put up 13 of those points in the first half run by Albany. Blake Metcalf and Luke Devlin pulled down seven rebounds each. Logan Aronhalt and Jayson Guerrier sent in 13 a piece in the effort and a combined eight rebounds.
HEAD OF THE CLASS
Colgate has two players that rank first in the Patriot League in free throw and three point shooting percentage in
Mike Venezia and
Mitch Rolls. Venezia is shooting 95.7 percent from the free throw line, while Rolls is making 53.3 percent of the three-pointers he takes. Venezia has only missed one free throw all season (22-23), while Rolls has made 16 of the 30 three-pointers he's attempted.
Pat Moore also ranks third in three-point percentage making 50 percent of his attempts (16-32).
13 OR MOORE
Sophomore
Pat Moore is currently riding a five-game double-digit scoring streak that has seen him score no less than 13 points in a game since playing at Wisconsin. Over the five games Moore has averaged 14.4 points per game and now leads the team in scoring with 11.6 per game, which ranks 13th overall in the Patriot League.
COACH LANGEL'S DEBUT
Colgate head coach
Matt Langel won his debut with the Raiders 78-74 over Binghamton. Langel was just the fifth head coach in program history to win his first game and the first since Howard Hartman led Colgate past St. Lawrence in 1949. The win over Binghamton was also the first for Colgate in the month of November since beating Central Connecticut 58-57 in 2008. The win snapped a streak of 13 straight losses in November.
1,000 POINTS AND COUNTING
Last season, senior forward
Yaw Gyawu became the 28th player in school history to join the 1,000-point club. Gyawu led Colgate in scoring with 12.6 points per game and enters his final season with 1,102 points that rank 24th overall.
VENEZIA KEEPS RAINING THREES

Mike Venezia has made a total of 157 three-pointers in his career which ranks seventh all-time in the Colgate record books. Former teammate Kyle Roemer '10 holds the school record (267), while director of basketball operations
Mark Linebaugh '04 ranks fifth with 173.
