HAMILTON, N.Y. (10/24/11) – The Colgate men's soccer team will resume non-conference action with a road mactchup against Dartmouth on Tuesday, Oct. 25 at 5 p.m. in Hanover, N.H.
The Raiders are coming off a pair of double overtime games last week. They tied with Binghamton 1-1 in the middle of the week and then defeated Patriot League opponent, Lafayette, 1-0 on Saturday. Junior

OVERTIME MANIA ON THE ROAD
Colgate (9-3-3, 3-1-1 PL) has played eight of their 15 games on the road so far this season and own a 3-2-3 away record. All three of their double overtime ties, which were against Villanova, Lehigh and Binghamton, and four of their six overtime games this season were all on the road.
RADIERS' SCORING LEADERS
The team is led by senior co-captain
Steven Miller who has 14 points from a team-best seven goals. Miller leads the league in goals and goals per game (0.47) and is tied for second in points and points per game (0.93). He is followed by Conlin who has nine points from four goals and one assist. Three of Conlin's goals have been game-winners, two of which were in overtime. Following them are senior co-captain
Mike Reese and freshman
Jimmy McLaughlin, who both have four points apiece.
LETOURNEAU WINS DEFENSIVE PLAYER AWARD
Patrick Letourneau was named the BRINE Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week on today (Oct. 24). The junior defender scored the Raiders' only goal in their 1-1 double overtime tie against Binghamton on Tuesday and then went on to anchor the team's defense in their 1-0 double overtime win over Lafayette on Sunday, making some strong defensive plays to hold the team together. Letourneau, who receives the award for the second time this season, continues to be a driving force in Colgate's defense. He has started in all 15 games and is sixth on the team with three points from one goal and one assist.
REGIONAL RANKINGS
The Raiders are currently ranked second in the NSCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Poll behind the University of North Carolina, Charlotte. Four of the top-eight teams are from the Patriot League, including Lehigh, Lafayette and Bucknell who are ranked fifth, sixth and eighth respectively.
SERIES
Colgate holds a slight advantage in the all-time series against Dartmouth, owning 4-3-1 record since the teams first met in 1944. This will be the ninth overall meeting and the fifth one on the road for the Raiders. The Big Green lead the series 3-2 in Hanover, N.H., winning the most recent meeting between the teams at the Dartmouth Classic, 2-0 in the 2008 season.
SCOUTING DARMOUTH
The Big Green (6-4-2, 3-1-0 IVY) are coming off a 2-0 shutout win over Columbia last weekend to secure their third IVY League win of the season. The team also has wins over South Carolina, Massachusetts, Princeton, Vermont and Penn, and has suffered losses to Boston College, Southern Methodist, Tulsa and Yale. Its only two ties this season were with Holy Cross and South Florida at the beginning of the season.
Dartmouth is led by senior Lucky Mkosana and junior Kevin Dzierzawski. Mkosana, who leads the IVY League in goals, goals per game (0.67) and points per game (1.42), has a team-high 17 points from eight goals and one assist. He is followed by Dzierzawski who has 11 points from two goals and a team-best seven assists, which has him sitting at first in the league in assists and assists per game (0.58). Defending the net is sophomore Noah Cohen who has played in all 1122:28 minutes this season and has a total of 47 saves for a .758 save percentage.
