Jason Williams '10 signed his first professional contact today with the Arizona Sundogs of the Central Hockey League.
Williams, 24, joins the Arizona Sundogs to begin his professional playing career after a four-year stint at Colgate University (NCAA). The 5-foot-10, 195-pound forward appeared in 153 games during his collegiate career – tied for third in school history – collecting 26 goals, 36 assists and 126 penalty minutes (PIM). During his senior year at Colgate in 2009-10, Williams ranked tied-for-10th nationally with two shorthanded goals.
Prior to his collegiate career, the Plattsburgh, New York, native played two seasons of junior hockey with the New Hampshire Monarchs of the Eastern Junior Hockey League (EJHL). Williams ranked second on the team and third in the league with 64 points (31g/33a) during the 2005-06 season and led the Monarchs to EJHL regular season and tournament titles after ranking sixth in the league with 65 points (30g/35a) a season prior.
