Sheridan Leads Colgate at Harry Lang Invitational

- The Colgate University men's cross country team jumped into its 2010 season on Sept. 4, hosting the annual Harry Lang Invitational. The Raiders took the top spot in the 6k race.

The Raiders won the 6k competition taking seven of the top-10 positions for a low score of 19 points.

Senior Ed Sheridan (Phillipsburg, N.J.) led the entire field in the 6k, finishing first overall time of 20:34. Sophomore Chris Johnson (Murry Hill, N.J.) was not far behind, finishing third overall with a time of 21:08.

Junior Thomas Hedges (Princeton, N.J.), senior Dan Gleason (Norwalk, Conn.), and freshman Everett Stilley (Portland, Ore.) rounded out the top five for the Raiders, hitting the tape in times of 21:19, 21:20, and 21:41, respectively.

Colgate hits the course again on Sept. 18, hosting the annual Colgate Invitational. The meet is set to begin at 11 a.m.
