HAMILTON, N.Y. (12/15/10) – Vickie Sax, who has coached the University's softball team since 1997, has informed the University that she will be resigning that position effective December 10, 2010 to pursue other opportunities. Under coach Sax, the team qualified for the Patriot League Tournament in 12 out of 13 seasons and won the League Championship in 1999, 2003 and 2007.

Coach Sax was also a three time Patriot League Coach of the Year, and the women's team at Colgate during her tenure achieved better than a 3.0 academic average. Assistant Coach Ashley Obrest will serve as the Head Coach on an interim basis.
