HAMILTON, N.Y. (11/5/10) – The Colgate men's soccer team will host Patriot League opponent, American, in the team's final regular season game on Saturday, Nov. 6 at 4 p.m. This game will determine whether the team will host the 2010 PL Tournament as the No. 1 seed and regular season champion.
Seniors

Max Revell (Marlborough, Mass.),
Adam Costello (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.),
Paul Visgilio (West Hartford, Conn.) and
John Zaback (Farmington, Conn.) will be honored before the game.
The Raiders (7-5-5, 4-0-2) are coming off a 3-1 setback to No. 16 Princeton on Tuesday night. Despite having majority of the ball possession, the team could not make up for the two early goals they conceded. Sophomore forward
Mike Reidy (Webster, N.Y.) scored Colgate's only goal.
REGULAR SEASON TITLE AT STAKE
This weekend the top three teams in the league standings, who have all already clinched a tournament berth, will play their final games of the regular season. Colgate, which currently sits at first with 14 points, takes on American, which is third with 11 points, while Lehigh, which is second with 13 points, will play Bucknell.
The results of these games will determine which team claims the regular season title and ultimately secures the No. 1 seed to host the tournament next weekend.
PACK LEADERS
Miller and classmate
Matt Schuber (Webster, N.Y.) lead the team in goals with four apiece and in points (10). Both players have four goals and two assists each. Reidy is third on the team with three goals and two assists for eight points and is followed by classmate
Shane Conlin (Randolph, N.J.) who sits at fourth with seven points off three goals and one assist.
GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK
Junior goalkeeper
Chris Miller (Dallas, Texas) was named the BRINE Goalkeeper of the Week on Monday (Nov. 1) by the Patriot League after making seven saves in the team's 0-0 double-overtime tie with Navy last weekend.
Miller has totaled 1440:31 minutes in goal for the Raiders, recording 49 saves for a .754 save percentage and allowing only 16 goals. He is tied at first in shut outs with seven and shut outs per game (0.47). His seven shut outs have him tied at fourth in Colgate men's soccer history for shut outs in a season.
THE SERIES
American leads the all-time series 6-2-2, with the Raiders' only wins coming in the last two seasons with two 1-0 shutout wins in 2008 and 2009. The two ties were in 2006 and 2007, both having a 0-0 double-overtime final score.
SCOUTING AMERICAN
The Eagles (6-7-1) are coming off two 0-0 double-overtime ties with UAB and Holy Cross last week. With a league record of 3-2-1 a win against the Raiders could potentially win them the regular season title, depending on whether Lehigh wins against Bucknell.
American is led by sophomore forward Alassane Kane, senior midfielder Jamie Davin and junior defender Michael Roberts. Kane, who leads the league in goals (6) and goals per game (.40), also leads his team in scoring and points (13). Davin is second on the team with 12 points off 3 goals and a team-high six assists and Roberts, who has played a key role in the Eagles' defense this season, was named the Defensive Player of the Week on Monday.
