BETHLEHEM, Pa. (10/1/2010) – Colgate University senior
Ed Sheridan (Phillipsburg, N.J.) set a new personal-record and finished third overall to lead the men's cross country team Friday in the brown race at the Paul Short Run.
Colgate placed two runners in the top-5 and finished second overall as a team, the best finish the Raiders have ever had at this event. Sheridan finished with a time of 25:23 and was followed closely by sophomore
Chris Johnson (Murry Hill, N.J.) who also set a personal-record with a time of 25:25 to finish fourth overall.
Princeton won the event, placing five runners in the top-20, to finish with 34 points, while Colgate led all Patriot League teams with 169 points. Lafayette finished 30th with 729 points.

Dan Gleason (Norwalk, Conn.), sophomore
Tim Phelps (Portland, Ore.) and junior
Thomas Hedges (Princeton, N.J.) rounded out the top five for the Raiders, hitting the tape in times of 26:09, 26:15, and 26:53, respectively.
The Raiders return to action on Oct. 16 at the Albany Invitational. The meet is scheduled to begin at 11a.m.
