Biography

Senior Year (2011-12): Evin appeared in 13 games and earned 11 starts as a senior ... recorded a 5-5-1 record and a .910 save percentage and a 2.60 goals against average ... made 303 stops on 333 shots in his 692 minutes of action ... made 30-plus saves in three games ... earned the start in the season opener against Robert Morris on Oct. 7 at the Mutual of Omaha Stampede and made 16 stops to help Colgate into the title game of the tournament ... pushed aside a season-high 35 shots in a 2-1 loss against Niagara at home on Oct. 29 ... had 31 saves against Quinnipiac on Nov. 18 in a 3-1 win at Starr Rink ... posted 32 stops at Vermont on Nov. 25 in a 4-1 win ... had 28-save performances against St. Lawrence (Dec. 3), at Rensselaer (Feb. 4) and against Union on Senior Night (Feb. 25) ... played in both games at Atlantic City, including the start in his final Colgate game and pushed aside 25 shots in the loss to Cornell.

Junior Year (2010-11): Evin started the season as the primary netminder for the Raiders with 12 starts in the first 14 games of the year ... he played in 16 games with 14 starts and had a 3-10-1 mark in those games ... he posted a .891 save percentage and a 3.22 goals against average ... recorded his first collegiate shutout in the fourth game of the season with 21 saves against Sacred Heart on Oct. 30 ... posted another shutout at Army on Dec. 4 with 24 saves in a 3-0 win at West Point ... followed that outing with his highest save output of the season with 39 against Niagara on Dec. 11 in a 4-3 loss ... also made 39 stops against #19 Princeton on Jan. 9 in a hard fought 5-4 loss at Hobey Baker Rink ... made 20-plus saves in all but two of the 16 games played ... he came in late during those two games ... made 30-plus saves in four games, including a 35-save performance against Lake Superior on Oct. 23 in a 5-4 loss ...  pushed aside 32 shots against Clarkson in a 4-4 tie in the ECAC Hockey opener.

Sophomore Year (2009-2010): Played in 24 games making 23 starts in net ... made 14 consecutive starts from Jan. 16 to Feb. 27 ... finished 9-9-3 with a 3.02 goals against average and a .901 save percentage ... was named the ECAC Hockey Goalie of the Week on Feb. 8 after stopping 57 of 60 shots on the weekend in a split at Princeton and Quinnipiac ... had six games with 30 or more saves ... stopped a career high 43 shots in an overtime victory over Princeton (11/21) ... tallied 38 saves in a regulation win at Harvard (2/20) ... had a 34-save performance in a tie against Robert Morris (1/23), a 34-save effort in a loss at Quinnipiac (2/6) and made 33 stops in a loss to Yale (2/12) ... saved 29 in a hostile environment as Colgate held onto a 3-2 victory at RIT (10/10) in his season debut ...gained two wins against Clarkson with a 27-save performance at Cheel Arena (1/16) and a 20-save effort at Starr Rink (1/29) ... posted 25 saves in a victory over Robert Morris (1/22) ... led Colgate to its first sweep of Princeton in years with a 23-save effort (2/5) ... saved 27 shots in a home win against Brown (2/13) ... stopped 27 shots in a 3-2 victory over Rensselaer (2/26) to clinch a first round bye in the ECAC Hockey Tournament.

Freshman Year (2008-09):
Played in 11 games for the Raiders and made eight starts in net ... tallied first collegiate victory in a 13-save performance versus Bentley (10/17) ... notched a tie with 31 saves versus Ferris State (1/3) ... saved a season high 41 in an overtime loss to Yale (1/24) ... had two other games of 30 or more saves - St. Lawrence (12/5) and versus Brown (1/23) with 32 and 33 saves respectively ... saved 22 shots in a reserve role at nationally ranked Denver (11/28) and then collected 22 saves on 25 shots in a start at Colorado College (11/29) ... Was named to the ECAC Hockey Weekly Honor Roll twice (10/22, 12/2).

Prior to Colgate: Played for Fred Harbinson and Penticton Valley of the BCHL … posted a 31-10-1 record for the Vees and led Penticton to a first-place division finish and a league title … team lost in the finals of the Doyle Cup … recorded a 2.20 goals against average and a .921 save percentage for the season … played in 43 regular season contests and 20 play-off games … was named the league’s top goaltender and led the Vees to the Wally Forslund Memorial Trophy (lowest team goals against average) …  was named to the all-star team… received Penticton’s Team MVP and a finalist for the league MVP … played for Williams Lake of the BCHL prior to going to Penticton.
