Biography

Junior Year (2013-14): Saw action in all 19 matches in the spring for the Raiders ... went 9-10 in singles play ... appeared in the No. 1, 2 and 3 spots throughout the season ... played at No. 1 against Oneonta and earned a win at the third spot against Navy in the first victory over the Mids since 2--6 ... appeared with Archer McFall in doubles play in the second position and went 11-8 overall.

Sophomore Year (2012-13): Played in 18 matches in his second season ... went 7-7 in singles play, appearing in the fourth and fifth spots primarily ... had an 4-4 mark in doublels play in the third position and with Luke Gensburg as his most consistent partner. 

Freshman Year (2011-12): Appeared in the fifth and sixth spots in the singles lineup and was one of the most consistent players for the Raiders ... had the second-best record on the team at 13-7 ... had seven wins at the fifth position and six at the sixth spot ... won seven-straight matches at one point during the season ... went 3-2 in Patriot League play and his match in the Patriot League Quarterfinals was unfinished due to the result already being reached. 

Before Colgate: Played four years of tennis at Herricks High School ... was named all-division and all-conference each season ... the team moved up a conference every season while Alan competed, reaching the highest conference in his final year ... went 32-8 in the four years and compiled an 8-4 mark as a senior team captain ... was the team's most valuable player as a junior and most improved following his rookie season.

Personal: Alan Solomon Pleat is the son of Marvin and Yelena Pleat ... has two brothers ... grandfather played basketball at NYU ...was member of the school newspaper in high school and participated in DECA, a business club ... was an AP Scholar as well at Herricks... majoring in political science.
