Biography

As a Freshman (2009-2010): Was the 2010 recipient of the Excelsior Award, which goes to the swimmer or diver who shows tremendous dedication and improvement through the season ... posted a seasonal best 240.60 in six dives off the one meter board versus Boston College and 211.95 off the three-meter board at the Patriot League Championships ... finished 13th in one and three-meter competitions at the leage meet. 

In High School: Was a four year varsity diver and a two-year diving captain at Choate-Rosemary Hall ... went undefeated in dual meets his senior season ... Owns the school and pool record six-dive record ... finished first at the 2009 New England Prep School Diving Championships and placed third at the 2009 Founder’s League Championships ...  put himself into All-American consideration with a solid campaign ... won the all-around category 2005 Connecticut title in gymnastics.

Personal: Tyler is the son of Ed and Colleen Makepeace ... Majoring in English and history.
