As a Freshman (2009-2010): Swam seasonal bests 48.47 in the 100 free, 1:45.97 in the 200 free, 4:50.93 in the 500 free at the Patriot League Championships.

In High School: Was a three-year letterman in swimming at Hershey High School under the direction of Greg Fastrich … was a four-time all-conference, all-district and all-state selection … served as team captain his senior season … was a member of the Trojans’ 200 free relay that holds the state record … is the all-time career MVP for Hershey High … participated at the 2008 NSCA Junior Nationals in the 100 and 200 free events and was a NISCA All-American in the 200 free as well as the 200 and 400 yard free relays in 2008.
