Stats: Saw action in 29 games…recorded eight points by two goals and six assists …also logged 33 shots on goal and 17 blocked shots.
 Best Games:  Went on a three-game point streak which included an assist against Merrimack (Oct. 16), two assists against Arizona State (Oct. 22), and another assist against the Sun Devils (Oct. 23) …found the back of the net at RPI (Feb. 12) …notched a goal and an assist against Yale (March 5).
Honors: Served as team captain for the second-straight season…. earned the program’s Rob Reis Memorial Award for his inspiration and leadership to the team.

Senior Year (2020-21)

Stats: Competed in all 22 games for the Raiders … recorded five points by three goals and two assists … had a hat trick and a shorthanded goal … added 35 shots on goal, eight blocked shots, and finished even on the ice.
Best Games: Scored a hat trick that included a shorthanded goal against RIT (Dec. 29) … it marked the first hat trick for the Raiders since Nov. 25, 2017, while he finished with a season-high plus-3 rating on the ice … tallied a season-high of six shots on goal in the ECAC Semifinals at St. Lawrence (March 18) … had an assist in the 5-4 win at Clarkson (Dec. 23) and in the 4-3 win at Quinnipiac (March 6).
Honors: Voted to serve as team captain for the 2020-21 campaign … Senior CLASS Award Top-15 Candidate … ECAC Hockey Student-Athlete of the Year finalist … honored as Scholar-Athlete of the Year at the Golden ‘Gates … named to the Raider Academic Honor Roll and ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team.
 
Junior Year (2019-20)

Stats: Appeared in 35 of 36 games for the Raiders prior to the cancellation of the ECAC Tournament … marked the second-most goals on the team with nine, paired with eight assists for 17 points on the year … recorded two game-winning goals and two power play goals … posted four multi-point performances … tallied 43 shots on goal and finished with a plus-3 rating on the ice.
Best Games: Marked the game-winning goal in a 2-1 victory at Yale (Nov. 8) … earned another game-winner in the 3-0 shutout at Princeton (Jan. 31) … marked multi-goal games on two occasions, in the 3-3 overtime tie against Miami (OH) (Oct. 25) and again in the 3-3 overtime tie against then-No. 20 Dartmouth (Jan. 25) … added a power play goal at Brown (Feb. 21) … marked a pair of apples in the 3-3 overtime tie at then-No. 7/8 Providence (Nov. 1) … also marked two points by a pair of assists in the 3-3 overtime tie against then-No. 16 Harvard (Jan. 24) … tallied a season-high of four shots on goal on three occasions … marked a season-high of two blocked shots at Princeton (Jan. 31).
Honors: Named ECAC Hockey Player of the Week on Jan. 27, 2020 after a four-point weekend with two goals and two assists against then-No. 16 Harvard and then-No. 20 Dartmouth ... named to the Raider Academic Honor Roll and ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team.

Sophomore Year (2018-19)

Stats: Played in 31 of the Raiders 36 games on the year … recorded one goal and one assist for two points … tallied 12 blocked shots and 31 shots on goal.
Best Games: Scored in the Raiders 5-1 win over then-No. 20 Union (Feb. 22) … earned a two-game point streak by recording an assist in the 2-1 overtime win against Rensselaer (Feb. 23) … marked a season-high of three shots on goal in the 2-1 win over New Hampshire (Oct. 13) and against Brown (Nov. 2) … tallied a season-high of two blocked shots at Harvard (Nov. 30).
Honors: Named to Raider Academic Honor Roll and the ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team.

Freshman Year (2017-18)

Stats: Played in 37 of 40 games in his first season…Scored six goals and added three assists for nine points…Four of McAvoy’s six goals came against ECAC Hockey competition.
Best Games: Scored in his first career game on Sept. 30 in a 5-1 win vs. Niagara…Tallied points in back-to-back games with a goal at St. Lawrence (Feb. 9) and an assist in a tie at Clarkson (Feb. 10)…Scored career-high two goals in a 5-2 win at Rensselaer on Feb. 24.
Honors: Named to the ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team.

Before Colgate

Played the last two seasons with the Surrey Eagles of the BCHL…Competed for the Connecticut Oilers of the EHL in 2014-15.
Stats: Scored 32 goals and assisted 48 more for 80 points in two BCHL seasons with Surrey…Excelled in his final season with the Eagles, netting 18 goals with 30 assists for 48 points…Saw action in 41 games with the Oilers in 2014-15, scoring 12 goals with eight assists for 20 points.
Honors: Served as the captain of the Surrey Eagles in both seasons…Won the 2014-15 Eastern Hockey League Championship with Connecticut…Named Surrey's MVP in 2015-16…Earned the Most Sportsmanlike Award with Surrey in 2016-17.
