Season Highlights: Earned her first career win against Stetson (March 11) after firing 1.0 hitless frames … picked up the victory against Florida A&M (March 17) … threw 1.2 scoreless innings to earn the win at Cornell (April 18) … threw her first career complete game to help Colgate earn a 3-2 victory over the ACC’s Syracuse (April 26), striking out a career-best six batters and allowing just two runs in 7.0 innings of work.
Before Colgate
A right-handed pitcher out of Sarasota, Fla., Bendel helped guide her Sarasota High School team to a state runner-up finish and district and regional championship in 2015 to earn All-Area Pitcher of the Year and first team All-State honors. Bendel hurled 14 complete games and picked up 10 wins in 127 innings pitched as a senior in 2016. She was also a member of the National Honor Society and Key Club.
