LEWISBURG, Pa. - The men's soccer team battled to a hard fought 0-0 draw against Bucknell at Emmitt Field on Saturday night.
COACH RONNING'S COMMENTS
"Really happy with the team's performance and overall execution tonight. Â The objective was 3 points and am proud we went for it. Brave on and off the ball, great chances created, and were unfortunate not to score. Â We will continue to improve and the boys will be rewarded."
MOMENTS OF THE MATCH
- The Raiders started on the front foot with shots from Blake Pipkin and Mateo Colmenares finding the target.
- Gavin Vichengrad made one save in the opening half but the score remained knotted at zero.
- Pipkin nearly scored right out of halftime but the shot went wide right.
- With five minutes left, Pipkin caught the Bucknell keeper out and volleyed from long range but the keeper parried the effort wide.
- The match ended scoreless in Lewisburg.
NOTES
- Vichengrad made three saves in net for his first career clean sheet.
- Pipkin led the Raiders with five shots including four on target.
- Otto Bourne and Julian Di Lucia played a full 90 minutes for Colgate.
