Pipkin fires four shots on target

HAMILTON - A late goal from the visiting Eagles stifled the Raiders' hopes of earning a result on Friday's Patriot League Opener at Beyer-Small '76 Field as Colgate fell 1-0.

MOMENTS OF THE MATCH

American held the majority of the possession in the first half firing off nine shots but the Raiders defense held them to just one on target.
Nothing separated the sides headed to the second half.
Blake Pipkin fired Colgate's first shot on target in the 64th minute.
Colgate's best chance of the match occurred in the 73rd minute when Pipkin slashed a shot on frame and the rebound fell to Spencer Osborne but the chipped shot went just wide.
American was able to find a scrappy goal in the 87th minute to earn all three points.

NOTES

Gavin Vichengrad made two saves in net for Colgate.
Pipkin fired all four of his shots on target.
Otto Bourne and Chris Glenney anchored the backline with 90 minutes played.
