Terrett and Hofsass Begin Their First Season Together

HAMILTON – Head coach Gareth Terrett welcomes Brooke Hofsass as the new field hockey assistant coach ahead of the 2026 season.

Hofsass joins the Raiders after spending a year as an assistant coach at Penn State Harrisburg. In her first season with the Nittany Lions, she helped the team produce the United East Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year, while the team's head coach was named the United East Coach of the Year.

Penn State Harrisburg had six All-Conference first-team selections and two second-team All-Conference selections.

"Brooke will be a tremendous asset to our program," said Terrett. "She was an outstanding Division I student-athlete, developed in one of the nation's premier high school field hockey programs, and has already gained valuable collegiate coaching experience. She brings an excellent understanding of the game, a strong work ethic, and a passion for player development. I am looking forward to working with Brooke and believe she will play an important role in helping take our program to even higher levels of performance."

Prior to coaching, Hofsass played Division I field hockey at Lock Haven. A four-year starter, she appeared in 69 games for the Bald Eagles and started all but one. Hofsass totaled 35 career points on 11 goals and 13 assists, including two game-winning goals.

Academically, Hofsass earned a bachelor's degree in health science with a concentration in coaching from Lock Haven. She was a two-time NFHCA National Academic Squad selection (2023, 2024), earned Academic All-District honors in 2023 and was named to the CSC Division I Academic All-District.
