HAMILTON – The Colgate field hockey program will embark on a new season in the fall of 2026. Under new head coach, Gareth Terrett, the team welcomes six newcomers across two different countries and five states.
"I'm very excited about the Class of 2026," said Terrett. "They are a group of high-quality players who will strengthen our roster in meaningful ways, both on and off the field. Each athlete brings something unique—whether it's technical ability, game intelligence, competitiveness, or leadership—and together they add great balance to the group.
"What stands out most is their character, work ethic, and commitment to improving every day, which aligns perfectly with the standards of our program. They will not only raise the level of competition within the squad but also contribute to a positive and driven team culture. I'm looking forward to seeing how they develop over the coming season, integrate with our returning players, and continue to grow and make an impact in the years ahead."
