HAMILTON – The intercollegiate Intercollegiate Rowing Coaches Association announced its 2026 Empacher-IRCA Scholar Athletes, with four Raiders earning recognition for their athletic and academic performance.
Coxswain Rina Borenstein and rowers Mark Giacona, William White and Luca Williams all met the criteria to be named Empacher-IRCA Scholar Athletes.
To qualify for the award, student-athletes must attend an IRCA member school, be in at least their second year of eligibility, compete in one of their program's top three boats during the season or race at the 2026 IRA Championship, and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 through the fall semester.
Williams is a two-time recipient of the award, while Borenstein, Giacona and White each earned the honor for the first time.
