ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Colgate track and field teams concluded competition at the 2026 Patriot League Outdoor Championships, hosted by the United States Naval Academy at Ingram Field. The Raiders wrapped up the two-day event with several point-scoring performances in the finals.

MEET RECAP
Sophomore Melinda Haagensen led the way for the Raider women in the field, scoring three points with a sixth-place finish in the Pole Vault after clearing a height of 3.88 meters. On the men's side, senior
Samuel Epstein also found the scoresheet in the Pole Vault, taking seventh place with a mark of 4.72 meters to secure two points for the men's team.
Junior Kiran George had a busy final day for the Raiders. In the finals of the Women's 100-meter Hurdles, George clocked a time of 14.42 seconds to secure a sixth-place finish overall. She also showcased her versatility in the high jump, placing tied-second with a clearance of 1.66 meters.
In the Men's 1500-meter run finals, junior Dakin Ebmeyer crossed the finish line in eighth place with a time of 3:48.80. In the Men's 400-meter Hurdles final, sophomore
Sammy Heaven clocked a 55.46-second performance to capture sixth place.
In the distance events, sophomore Nell Droege placed ninth in a deep Women's 5000-meter run field with a time of 17:23.42.
John Griffith finished in sixth place in the 3000 Meter Steeplechase with an impressive time of 9:10.08.
Colgate closed out the track portion of the meet with the 4x400-meter relays. The women's quartet of
Oonagh Last,
Ashley Crane,
Linden Cafcules,
Emma Bergfalk took 10th place with a time of 4:08.24. The men's team, featuring
Marcus Chu,
Jeff Groth,
Will Terry,
Jack Gabrielle, finished eighth with a time of 3:22.67.
Following 22 scored events, the Colgate women's team finished in eighth place out of 10 schools with a total of 13 points.
The Colgate men's team finished in ninth place with 5 points.
