Colgate Competes at Larry Ellis Invitational

Raiders compete in final meet before Patriot League Championships

PRINCETON, N.J. - The Raiders competed in their final tune-up meet at the Larry Ellis Invitational hosted by Princeton before the Patriot League Championships set for May 15 - May 16.

COACH FRANCE'S COMMENTS
"Princeton was an excellent tune-up as we head into championship season. We came away with a lot of personal best performances, strong competitive efforts across the board, and a clear sense that we're trending in the right direction at the perfect time."

WOMEN

In the field events, junior Melinda Haagensen cleared 3.70 meters in the pole vault to place fifth overall, marking one of Colgate's top finishes of the weekend.

First-year Emma Bergfalk posted a time of 2:14.93 in the 800 meters.

Sophomore Ashley Crane delivered a strong showing in the 1500 meters, finishing in 4:36.41, while also doubling back to contribute on the Raiders' 4x400-meter relay.

In the relay, Colgate's quartet of Elizabeth Manly, Oonagh Last, Emma Bergfalk, and Ashley Crane combined for a 4:06.90 finish.

MEN

Junior Finn Kosich led the group with a time of 1:54.24, finishing eighth overall in the 800 meter race. He was followed closely by first-year Henry Gaylord (1:54.93), sophomore Tyler Robinson (1:56.46), and junior Jack Gabrielle (1:57.24).

Owen McMorrow finished sixth in the 5000 meter run with a time of 14:34.85.

In the 1500 meters, junior Dakin Ebmeyer turned in a notable performance, finishing 10th with a time of 3:47.66. Fellow Raider Nick Larson added a time of 3:58.12.

On the sprint side, sophomore Marcus Chu clocked 50.52 in the 400 meters.

In field events, Travis Rusak placed seventh in the javelin throw with a distance of 55.10m.

UP NEXT
Colgate heads to Annapolis, Md. for the Patriot League Championships scheduled for May 15 and 16. Both men's and women's programs will compete.
