Ronav Benak has been named Patriot League Golfer of the Week, as announced by the league office.
Benak delivered a consistent two-round showing to lead the Raiders, finishing tied for fourth in a competitive field. He posted rounds of 73 and 72 to finish at 1-over-par (145) across the 36-hole event at the Rum Pointe Seaside Golf Links.
After opening with a 73 in the first round, Benak improved in the final round with an even-par 72, climbing into a tie for fourth place among 99 competitors. His steady play placed him just 10 strokes off the individual medalist and among the top performers from a field of 16 teams.
Benak's finish marked one of the top individual results for Colgate this spring, helping the Raiders to their second consecutive top-five finish. Colgate placed fourth in the event with a 594 (+18) two-round score.
Colgate's regular season concludes next Monday and Tuesday when the Raiders compete in the Villanova Spring Invite in Galloway Township, N.J.
