BETHLEHEM, Pa. – First-year forward Andrew Alekseyenko and junior guard Jalen Cox garnered All-Patriot League honors, the league announced on Monday afternoon. Cox was named First-Team All-League, as well as to the All-Defensive Team, while Alekseyenko was named Patriot League Rookie of the Year and earned spots on the Second Team and All-Rookie Team.

Alekseyenko earned a starting role immediately for the Raiders, displaying consistently excellent play and scoring in double figures in all but three of Colgate's games this season.

The Brookline, Mass. product thrived in Hamilton, ranking 11th in the Patriot League in scoring (14.6), fourth in rebounds (6.7), and 15th in assists (2.5). Alekseyenko displayed his versatility in a season-highlighting performance at Loyola on Jan. 14, posting 16 points, 15 rebounds, and five assists in an 86-80 win.

The first-year forward becomes the sixth Raider to be named Patriot League Rookie of the Year, following in the footsteps of Colgate greats like Adonal Foyle and Tucker Richardson.

Cox earned All-Patriot League honors for the second time in his Colgate career, guiding the Raiders to an 11-7 regular season record and the No. 3 seed in the Patriot League tournament, which begins on Thursday.

Cox, who finished third in the Patriot League in scoring, averaged 17.6 points per game, alongside 5.2 rebounds and 5.1 assists, while adding nearly two steals a night – also third most in the conference.

Colgate's star guard ranks near the top of the Patriot League in nearly every statistic. In addition to points and steals, Cox ranks third in the conference in assists, sixth in field goal percentage (.523), and tenth in rebounds, second among Patriot League guards.

A career-best 38 point performance in Colgate's 101-98 overtime win over Loyola on Feb. 21 highlighted a superb scoring season for Cox. The junior guard also reached 1,000 career points in that game, becoming the 43rd Raider to surpass that mark.

The Los Angeles native also recorded the Raiders' first triple-double since 2023 in a January win over Bucknell. Cox racked up 13 points, 10 boards, and 10 assists in the win over the Bison.

Patriot League honors are nothing new for Cox, who was named to the All-Defensive Team and Third-Team All-League last season.
