PHILADELPHIA - The Raiders traveled to compete in the two-day Penn Classic in Philadelphia, Pa. on Friday.
First-years Joel Douzanis and Samantha Pellerin both gained experience by representing the Raiders in the men's and women's weight throw, respectively. Douzanis also competed in the shot put.
Nell Droege ran in the women's 3000m invitational, while John Griffith ran in the men's 3000m invitational.

"Another big weekend for our team, highlighted by strong performances and continued momentum at this stage of the season.
Kiran George delivered a huge performance, breaking her own school record in the high jump, setting the tone for the weekend. Across the board, we saw a number of personal-best finishes that not only showed the work being put in, but also helped elevate our confidence as we move closer to our indoor conference championship. Excited about the direction we're heading and the energy this group continues to bring."
WOMEN
Kiran George started Colgate with a second place finish with a high jump of 1.73 which set an indoor high jump record. The junior outjumped 17 other competitors.
Melinda Haagensen cleared 3.66m in the pole vault, placing sixth with three other entries.
Junior Audrey Luell continued the Raiders strong performance in the track events by placing second in the mile. Luell crossed the line in 5:05.58. The top five was rounded out with Ashley Crane in fourth and Hailey Bradley in fifth. Emma Bergfalk and Juliet Drury secured eighth and ninth finishes for Colgate.
Sara Tabibian found eighth overall in the women's 400m, finishing in 58.44. Tabibian also competed in the 200m, earning a new season best time of 25.89 seconds.
Senior Clare Gillis placed 14th in 200m, also earning a new season best of 24.75 seconds.
Oonagh Last represented the Raiders in the 500m. Crane and Lily Oliver ran the 800m.
MEN
Samuel Epstein earned a fifth place finish in the pole vault with a throw of 4.65m.
The men's 3000m had three Colgate runners in the top ten. Dakin Ebmeyer took first overall in the event with a time of 8:19.65. Will Keiser and Thomas Rivier placed fifth and eighth respectively, followed by Sam Ash, Max Khan, and Roman Steis.
Liam Davis earned a second place finish in the mile, logging in a time of 4:10.50. Nick Larson broke into the top ten with a ninth place finish and a time of 4:17.23. Charlie Klatka, Tyler Robinson, Michael Doyle, and John Shapiro also competed in the mile.
Marcus Chu and Will Terry found themselves with new personal bests in the 200m and 400m. Terry ran a new personal record of 51.40 seconds in the 400m and 22.93 in the 200m. Chu beat his record in the 200m, with a new time of 22.42.
Joshua Myers and Henry Gaylord both competed in the 800m, securing 21st and 23rd place respectively. The duo both set new personal records in the event, with Myers' new time of 1:57.35, and Gaylord's new best of 1:57.82.

Colgate men's and women's track and field teams will find themselves split in between Boston, Mass. on Feb. 13 to compete in the David Hemery Valentine Invitational and Ithaca, N.Y. for the Robert Kane Invitational on Feb. 14.
