ITHACA, N.Y. - Isaiah Norlin fired the puck into the back of the net off a dish from
Max Nagel just over a minute into overtime to lift Colgate over No. 9 Cornell at Lynah Rink on Saturday night.
Colgate's win over No. 9 Cornell is their sixth win over a ranked opponent this season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The game began with Colgate University applying early pressure on offense, as Jacob Napier managed the first few shots, though none found the net. Colgate's defense was active, with Reid Dyck making key saves, and several Cornell University attempts were blocked by Colgate defenders, including efforts by Jack Brandt and Luke Malboeuf.
Cornell capitalized on a power play at 13:52, with Gio DiGiulian scoring to give the home team the lead. Despite Colgate's efforts, including shots by Robby Newton and Michael Neumeier, they were unable to equalize. The period ended with the Big Red holding a 1-0 advantage.

Cornell equaled the score at two in the third period with a goal by Caton Ryan at 3:03, assisted by Charlie Major. Colgate generated multiple offensive opportunities, highlighted by shots from Max Nagel and Ryan Sullivan, but they were unable to convert, as Alexis Cournoyer saved several attempts. The period concluded with the score knotted at two and headed to an extra frame.
Isaiah Norlin secured the victory for the visitors with a goal at 1:11, assisted by Max Nagel and Easton Wainwright. The Raiders picked a 3-2 overtime win over the Big Red.
GAME NOTES
- Isaiah Norlin's two goals is the first multi-goal game of the season and brings his season total to seven.
- Michael Neumeier tallied a goal and an assist, he now has three points in the last three games.
- Reid Dyck made 31 saves in between the pipes, his seventh 30+ save game of the season.
- Easton Wainwright's assist on the game-winner logged his third straight game with a point.
- Colgate's overtime win is the first against Cornell since Jan. 26, 2019 which was also a 3-2 win at Lynah Rink.
