COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Colgate field hockey program had 11 members selected to the National Academic Squad and, as a team, earned the National Academic Team Award.

Across all divisions, 6,100 nominations were submitted to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA). To qualify for the National Academic Squad, student-athletes must compete at the Division I level and maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher.

Within the field hockey program, 11 student-athletes were honored for their academic achievements. The four first-years recognized were Julia Blair, Kennedy Glinn, Ava Poliafico, and Augustana Santarelli. Sophomore Kate Rose also earned recognition. Juniors Annie Lake, Alli Troth, Lauren Widdowson, and Abby Williams were named to the squad, while seniors Allison Lemmon and Anna Lochhead capped their collegiate careers with the honor.

As a team, Colgate was one of 60 Division I programs to receive the National Academic Team Award. In the Patriot League, Colgate was joined by American, Bucknell, Holy Cross, Lafayette, and Lehigh as team award recipients.
