Sam Epstein and Melinda Haagensen set program records

HAMILTON - The Raiders traveled to compete in Boston, Mass. for the David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Feb. 13, followed by the Robert Kane Invitational on Feb. 14. Haagensen and Epstein took home gold at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational, while Ava Kletti found first in the 3000m run at the Robert Kane Invitational.

COACH FRANCE'S COMMENTS
"This weekend was a statement for our program. Samuel Epstein and Melinda Haagensen both delivered record-breaking performances in the pole vault, raising the bar—literally and figuratively—for what's possible in our program. Sara Tabibian and Clare Gillis were right on the doorstep of history as well, each just missing school records in the 400 and 200 meters with incredibly competitive, gutsy races. Dakin Ebmeyer continues to close the gap on the school record in the mile, and Nell is steadily inching closer to her own standard in the 3000 meters.

Across the board, we saw breakthrough performances, composure under pressure, and a team feeding off one another's success. This is exactly the momentum we need as we head into conference in two weeks."
